Welcome to another edition of Platform Five – our weekly look at the online tools and platforms that you might want to add to your toolkit.

Here we go!

  1. The ultimate work collaboration platform? Say hello to chatter.com – a free private social network just for your business. Yep, this is what you get with chatter.com. This works online, on your desktop and via iPhone and BlackBerry devices. And, if you like DropBox, this gives you ‘drag and drop’ functionality too. Cool hey? More information available here.
  2. Time to try out a new social media dashboard? MyWeboo.com might be right for you – While TweetDeck and Hootsuite continue to be the preferred dashboard of comms professionals, MyWeboo is well worth a try, bringing together every channel you can imagine to a single dashboard.
  3. Facebook adds page tagging feature – This has been the coolest development of the last seven days. It allows users to tag photos of brands, products and more, giving marketers another way of connecting with consumers (and vice versa). Read more at RWW.
  4. Tweeb delivers Twitter analytics to your iPhone – It is no secret that people are doing more on the move so this app definitely ticks the ‘handy’ box. You won’t get more detailed Twitter insights on your phone than the stuff provided by Tweeb.
  5. Keep your pictures precious with picuous – Another Flickr-esque product but with a nice  twist. Picuous helps track where your images go after you’ve published them which is handy if you’re in the content sharing game. More at TNW.

One to watch: A new social media tool was released this week which is worth keeping an eye on. It’s called GraffitiWall and helps brands integrate customer communication into existing websites and platforms. More on GraffitiWall here.

We hope you enjoyed this edition and we’ll be back with more next week.

Ha! Why am I not surprised that Chatter.com is a salesforce.com product? They are really, really good. Thought I was going to get the chance to work with them but maternity leave got in the way :o)
